Do you plan your meals?

Hello, hello, hello! How's it going out there for all of you? So, I know how busy everyone is and I was wondering how many people plan their meals, be it monthly or weekly? I don't know boutchu, but I am TOTALLY A fly by the seat of my pants, kinda gal....yup, that's me! Moment to moment. (Okay, I stole that line from Pretty Woman. I think after you have seen a movie like 50 times or more and the lines are seared into your brain and take over the places that once housed stuff like mathemagic....or wait, I member, mathematics, well I think maybe one should be compensated in someway. I don't know.....just thinking out loud, in written format. I mean, I have invested lots of time....right???) Oh, right.....there was a point here.....to plan or not to plan, that is the question. I notice there are a lot of planners out there! Can you teach me how to be like you? Lol! I tried making freezer meals and noticed that my family wasn't as interested in what was on the table as much as they were when I made an impromptu meal that day. I have no idea what the issue was. Maybe, I need to get their input? I was a fan of the freezer meals! It made it easy to just take something out of the freezer and know that dinner would be ready without any thought. I did however miss the wonderful aromas of cooking something on the stove. Plus, I swear, it wasn't easy. I keep seeing these gals on Pinterest saying they made a months worth of dinners for like $200 and all it took was one measly Sunday afternoon. Is this really happening out there???

  1. I plan my meals a week in advance. I have a calendar on my frig. I have a folder filled with recipes that I have printed over the years and they are divided by breakfast, pasta, chicken/turkey, Mexican, and dessert. I print new recipes from Pinterest about once a month. I only cook five days a week and spend about $450 a month on groceries for a family of four. Probably over sharing but it works really well for me. And I am an eat it or starve kind of girl. Probably a little harsh but I am putting all the effort in. When somebody else starts cooking they can make whatever they like ;)
